Alabama Rule for Legal Internship by Law Students
You should carefully read the Alabama Rule for Legal Internship by Law Students, if you are interested in participating in the legal internship program (receiving a 3L Practice Card). In order to qualify for the legal internship program you must first register as a law student with the Alabama State Bar. Once you have been certified by the Alabama State Bar, the forms below must be completed and filed with the Admissions Office.
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Supreme Court of Alabama has allowed certain exceptions to the Alabama Rule for Legal Internship by Law Students for applicants of the July 2020 Alabama bar exam. Any applicant for the July 2020 Alabama bar exam, who has not graduated law school, must submit the forms above to participate in the legal internship program. Any applicant for the July 2020 Alabama bar exam, who has graduated law school, must submit the forms below to participate in the legal internship program.
